I recently read the book “Science in the Four Seasons – Winter”, and my eyes are bright, as if I have opened a window, a window that I have never seen before. We have lived in town for a long time. We don’t know what is really playing. How to play is fun? It’s boring during the holiday period. Watching TV without playing computer all day. Mom often talks about when they were young, there were no computers, no beautiful toys, but they never had fun. Nature has natural toys, folk games, traditional games, and is loved by children of their time. But now our living conditions have improved, but we can’t even play, there are no memories of catching fireflies in the summer, no experience of playing with dog tail grass to tease our partners, and no bamboo weaving to catch sparrows after snowy days. Interesting things. We don’t seem to be children of nature, we will not be integrated with nature.
The book “Science in the Four Seasons – Winter” is divided into three parts. The book describes the preparation of bird food, entertaining birds and building houses for birds. This is my favorite. From the story, I learned that birds like to eat lard and butter in addition to insects! In order to better digest food, some birds sometimes eat some sand or pebbles! What makes me most novel is the bathing method for birds: water bath, sand bath, snow bath and ant bath. Water bath, sand bath and snow bath are the way we know how to bathe. Then you know what an ant bath? The ant bath is to let the ants climb onto the body and release the formic acid to bathe us. From the book, I also know a lot of popular science knowledge that I didn’t know before!
The spring rain is gentle, the summer rain is passionate, the autumn rain is bold, the winter rain is silent, the cold is incomparable! However, the white snow is the symbol of winter. The hustle and bustle of the north wind, the shivering tree has long been wrapped in a white winter coat, looking forward to the green of the coming year. The wild geese swimming, the leisurely birds have long spread their wings and flew south. And the industrious little ants had prepared enough food to hide in the comfortable cave for the winter. Only the green pines and cypresses are still standing in the snow, not like the cold warriors in the winter… It turns out that winter is so colorful, and there are many mysteries of nature that are worth exploring.
Let us walk out of the narrow space, forget the heavy burden of schoolwork, forget about computer games, forget about the various counseling, walk into nature, and touch new things. Don’t say that there is no real nature in our city? As long as there is soil, there is water, it is nature. Every pile of soil there, every grass, every tree, will look different in our eyes, you will find that they are our closest friends. While we are feeling the nature, we will become good at observing and can appreciate the beauty of nature.
