Greek mythology!

“Greek Mythology” describes a mysterious, magical world of heroes. In this world, although the power of God occupies a dominant position, different types of heroes still resist God’s will with courage, virtue, wisdom, etc. through their own efforts. Among them, the three heroes of Oedipus, Achilles and Hercules left a deep impression on me.

After Oedipus struggled with his destiny in his life and learned the prophecy of the god-in-law “father-in-law”, the kind-hearted Oedipus embarked on the path of self-exile and vowed never to return, in order to avoid the tragedy. He solved the Sphinx puzzle with his own cleverness in Thebes, saved thousands of ordinary people, and became the king of Thebes. Although he did not escape the tragedy of the gods in the end, Oedipus, who had learned the truth, bravely admitted his sin, gave up the throne, and stabbed his eyes to show punishment. His courageous integrity and daring to take responsibility in the face of irreversible fate made him fully worthy of the title of hero.

Achilles shows a complex and profound heroic image. Although there is a god who said that he will die in the battlefield at a young age, he did not hesitate to embark on the battlefield with the Trojans and bravely assume the responsibility of defending the country. On the battlefield, he attacked the city and built countless feats. When his best friend was killed by Hector, he valued his friendship and he was on the battlefield. Although he showed a ferocious side in dealing with Hector’s body, he faced the tearful old King Priam. Sri Lanka, he sheds a good nature.

Hercules is also one of the famous heroes in Greek mythology. He is extremely brave and powerful, completing twelve tasks called “impossible to complete.” In addition, he also rescued Prometheus, who was hiding in the heroic adventure team of Iason and assisted him in obtaining gold wool. He is the only hero who has become a god after his own merits, reflecting the ancient Greeks’ feelings and respect for the heroes.

Among the many goddesses of Olympus, my favorite is the goddess of wisdom, Athena. She is one of the most important gods in Greek mythology, with bright eyes and graceful posture. Athena is the daughter of Zeus, who has the same powerful power as his father. She is determined and masculine, unlike other goddesses, so she is the goddess of victory. Athena is very popular with the Greek people, and people have a high respect for Athena. In Greece, the end of the Olympic Games is at the Temple of Partis, in order to sacrifice Athena with the Olympic torch relay.

The emotional experience of God and God in Greek mythology is the emotion of human beings, joys and sorrows, sweet and bitter, mixed feelings. It praises many heroic deeds. At the same time, it also reveals the ugliness of human nature. It made me understand that people are not all perfect.

The story of myth is actually a legend of man, and the story of a hero can inspire us to move forward. After reading the book “Greek Mythology”, I value the virtues of kindness, honesty, loyalty, etc., and encourage myself to use precious time to do more things that are meaningful to humans in the future.
